The Advisory Board

About the Advisory Board

The Pattern-Cog Advisory Board (Pattern-Cog-AB) is composed of members of the European Dementia Carers Working Group and will be active throughout the project lifecycle.

The Pattern-Cog-AB will address the ethical and social implications of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the assessment of dementia risk in people with non-known cognitive impairment. It will also address the data management aspects in dementia research and communication of Alzheimer’s disease risk using AI-based tools.

Why is the advisory board important?

The goal of Pattern-Cog is to improve dementia prevention strategies by developing AI-based tools for the detection of the earliest signs of impending mental health decline. It is, therefore, important that the perspectives, expectations, priorities and concerns of people with non-known cognitive impairment are addressed and taken into account from the beginning of the project.

The Pattern-Cog-AB will help ensure that their voices are heard throughout the research study.

Alzheimer Europe is leading the work of the Pattern-Cog AB in collaboration with the relevant project partners leading the different areas of work in the project.
